Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar: Basel 2015 release!

We are all guilty of a secret love affair with the Tissot T-Touch range and for those of you who have indulged in the TISSOT2solar power generation will be pleased to hear that the latest addition is days away from its official release. The latest Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar member! We have heard about it, we have read a bit about it, some of us may even have been lucky enough to have taken a sneaky peak of it, but for fanatics of these mechanical experts – nothing will compare with them first moments on the wrist. Today Tissot continues to reinforce its tagline of “leaders in tactile technology” by pioneering yet another breathtaking piece of technology with even more added appeal. Progressing from the birth of the first generation in T-Touch, the brand have worked hard over the years to remedy water resistant issues and meet a more accessible price point for the majority of their dedicated collectors. The Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar debuted last year reaching desired targets in efficiency coupled with a striking aesthetical design that matched their Japanese competition. Fans of the T-Touch can now enjoy wearing their watch without the hassle of ever needing to refit a battery.

TISSOT1The new release will house the finest T-Touch movement to date – the ETA E84.305. At a first glance, the AR coated sapphire crystal screen is crisp and considerably larger with extremely fast moving hands. The screen is black and blends beautifully with rest of the face. The bezel marks a number of distinctive features such as an altimeter, barometer, alarm, compass, countdown timer and chronograph. A quick time zone feature also allows the wearer to read the current time on the main dial simultaneously with a second time on the digital screen. Well illuminated hands and marked dial allow for low light visibility and the added bonus of a blue backlight accompanies the LDC screen for nighttime use. Various functions of the movement are accessed via pressing two activation sites on both walls of the watch in conjunction with swipes on the screen. The T-Touch Expert Solar is carried by a sturdy titanium case and whilst remaining lightweight and comfortable on the wrist, a size increase of 2 extra millimeters (45mm wide) results in a broader wear that seems a natural step towards acquiring the fresh, new identify that it deserves. The dial has been slightly revised with the addition of a red arrow sitting at the tip of the minute hand. The new T-Touch Expert Solar is available in bracelet form or for a snugger fit – various strap options may be preferred. The full assortment from the Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar Range is due to be released shortly where we will see additional alternatives in style and optional colour choices.

The next few years could see Tissot naturally evolving into new territory as their watches advance onto endless possibilities within the digital/technical platform and those who appreciate their solid levels of reliability will justify more than enough reason to upgrade with each innovation.
