Seiko Blue Lagoon Samurai SRPB09K1 Watch Review

Every now and then we are lucky enough to be one of the very first people to get our hands on watches that haven’t even been released to the public yet. At our recent C W Sellors Christmas Wishes event, our good friends at Seiko were kind enough to reveal to us their brand new Seiko Blue Lagoon Samurai SRPB09K1 watch. We quickly became infatuated by this stunning timepiece and its retro case and mesmerising blue tones that decorated it. So, we thought it was only right to share this striking model with you before anyone else.

The pre-production models that were shown to us at our event looked impressive on the wrist – as you can see in the images – and we were quickly convinced that this model was going to be just as popular as the older Seiko Samurai watches. The Seiko Blue Lagoon Samurai SRPB09K1 watch still boasts the familiar retro cushion shaped stainless steel case, screw down crown and unidirectional diving bezel that can be found on many of the other models, except this one has been upgraded to include a variety of breathtaking shades of blue across the dial and bezel. Another key addition that is difficult to miss is the bold luminescent hands, particularly the distinctive arrow shaped hour hand. Housed within the stainless steel case is the familiar Seiko 4R35 automatic movement, providing a useful date feature at 3 o clock, 24 jewels and a power reserve of 41 hours.

The Seiko Blue Lagoon Samurai SRPB09K1 watch will retail at only £399.00 and is expected to be released in February 2017 – giving us all something to look forward to in the new year. You can already place your pre-orders for this model here, something we would highly recommend you do considering how popular these timepieces are expected to be. There is only going to be 6,000 pieces of the SRPB09K1 produced with only 250 of these expected to be released in the UK.
