British golf star Justin Rose joins Maurice Lacroix

The British golf star Justin Rose has just recently signed on as the new Brand Ambassador for Maurice Lacroix. He is tasked with using his appreciation of the brand in a number of creative and international projects over the next three years.

In welcoming the former European Number 1 golfer on board, the CEO of Maurice Lacroix, Martin Bachmann, said “We could not desire a better ambassador for our company. We create watches for people who have the confidence to be themselves. Personalities who stand out from the crowd, who are authentic and looking for more than social status. This profile fits Justin Rose perfectly.”

In 1998, at the age of 17, Justin Rose made his opening mark at the British Open at Royal Birkdale with a 40 meter pitch shot for a birdie on his final hole to claim 4th place.

The next day was the start of his professional career.

Justin Rose is considered one of golf’s most consistent players, and even one of the best in Europe. In 2007 he won the European Tour Order of Merit, reached a career high of number 6 in the world rankings and won the Volvo Masters in Valderama. In 2008 he made his first appearance for the European Ryder Cup team, where he defeated Phil Mickelson in the singles and was the best performing rookie for both teams.

Justin Rose is just as delighted to be joining Lacroix, “I am interested in the best quality, because I want to have something from the things around me for a long time and I must be able to rely on them. For me the design is every bit as important as the function. Ostentation for the wrist and bling bling do not fit into my world.”

And which is the golfer’s favourite model? “The fact that I can only wear one watch at a time is a real handicap for me. Currently the Le Chronographe is my favorite companion.”
