A Second Anniversary Frankfurt Financial District Watch from Sinn

Sinn-6000-Anniversary-IIIn 1999 Sinn launched their Frankfurt Financial District Watch model 6000 as a kind of homage to Germany’s major stock exchange. To mark the company’s close association with the city of Frankfurt am Main, they also chose to add the city’s name on the dial of the watch.

To commemorate this anniversary and their continued connection with Frankfurt, Sinn have launched not one, but two Limited Edition watches in this range. The first, details of which were posted last Friday, is made of platinum and limited to 10 pieces. The second, The Frankfurt Financial District Watch Model 6000 Anniversary II, shares many features with the first but on this model the case is made of polished stainless steel and is limited to 100.

Sinn-6000-Anniversary-II-LeatherThe Anniversary II has a brown galvanized dial, with rhodanized appliqués, which gives the watch a distinctively new but traditional look. It comes with two straps, a brown alligator leather strap and a solid bracelet; the watch with the two different straps is pictured here.

It also makes use of Sinn’s patented DIAPAL technology, that is a lubricant-free escapement specifically designed to allow the movement to function with greater reliability.

This limited edition Frankfurt Financial District Watch also has an exquisitely decorated movement with a rotor engraving of the Frankfurt city skyline, which can be seen through sapphire crystal glass back with an anti-reflective coating; the same is used for the front.
