Bell & Ross have unveiled the arrival of two sensational Limited Edition pieces. The BR-X1 Carbon Forge and the BR 03 94 Rafale. Both extraordinary timepieces encapsulate superb military and historical values – a philosophy that the brand has applied significant and relative importance to throughout their progressive achievements. The brand believes that timekeeping instruments should perform reliably and with utmost capability to resist external penetrable factors regardless of its situation, environment or age. A Limited Edition Carbon Forge version of the BR-X1 has now officially been launched. Using a
combination of heat and pressure to bond carbon fibres together, they are then implanted into a steel mould. Compression is implemented to achieve a marbled finish. The final product is the 45mm box case that adopts a very powerful appearance for the BR-X1’s presence. This aeronautical material is often used in plane fuselage making these 250 individual, hand assembled pieces all the more desirable to those seeking a powerful tool for navigation purposes. White accents can be found throughout the face completing a beautifully finished skeletonised display, whilst fetching a hint of red colour through onto the hands. The design is held together with an X-shaped bridge, awarding the watch with its well deserved unique identity. Functions include a tachymeter scale and two sub-dials. The strap is made from a specially structured woven rubber, creating a robust and tough looking piece of equipment, yet one which deceivingly remains lightweight and unimposing on the wrist.
The BR 03 94 Rafale collection of 500 pieces pays a tribute to the military world and its numerous fields of pioneering. The special collection takes us back to the 1900 period in military and civil aviation, right through to developments of the present day. Just two years ago Bell & Ross teamed with Dassault Aviation to pay homage to the 50th anniversary of the Falcon business jet – the Vintage Falcon model being the product outcome. This year Bell & Ross welcome Dassault Aviation to join them once again in celebrating yet another multi-role fighter aircraft. The Rafale has provided the focal point of inspiration for the brand in creating the BR 03 94 Rafale Limited Edition, fitted with the traditional matte black ceramic casing and colour coordinated dial. The BR-031 independent movement powers the beating heart inside the workings of the sturdy steel structure. The watch although bursting with vintage beauty, also represents a mesmerising sense of simplicity. The matte grey dial is easy on the eye with good space between the 30 minute timer at 9 o’clock and a clear, easy to read tachymeter scale on the flange. A splash of orange is welcomed amongst the Arabic numerals providing a dynamic and powerful wrist presence and the traditional tang buckle to the rubber strap is also black PVD coated, sitting flush with the wearer’s wrist and promising a comfortable and nimble piece of timekeeping equipment.
