Our Top Picks from Geneva Watch Days 2021

Following the success of its 2020 debut, Geneva Watch Days returned for 2021 and with it hosted more than 20 luxury watch brands to unveil their latest adaptations of horology. The showcase was a huge relief for many, since it was the first luxury watch event of the year to be hosted physically, after the major watch fairs Watches & Wonders and Baselworld were cancelled due to the global pandemic. Accommodating the likes of Breitling, Arnold & Son, DOXA, Parmigiani Fleurier, Frederique Constant, Oris, Sinn and Maurice Lacroix the event was, as expected, a successful one and we’re excited to reveal to you some of the biggest releases from the exhibition.

Oris Geneva Watch Days 2021 Releases

Oris Big Crown ProPilot Rega Fleet Limited Editions

Due to the recycling process of the material, every Oris Aquis Date Upcycle dial will be completely unique offering a bespoke combination of colours and shapes. The rest of the design shares the same architecture as the rest of their Aquis series with a stainless steel case, a rotating bezel with grey ceramic insert, 300 metre water resistant rating, the Oris 733 automatic winding movement, a mineral glass case back, sapphire crystal on the front and Superluminova coated markers for the hours, minutes and seconds.

Czapek Geneva Watch Days 2021 Releases

Czapek Antarctique Rattrapante Limited Edition

Last but certainly not least, we had to mention the breathtaking Antarctique Rattrapante Limited Edition watch launched by Czapek. Now, we’re pretty certain this model has already sold out, so apologies in advance if our write-up tempts you to despair, but we had to touch upon this model. It’s a beauty. At the very centre, a skeletonised dial stages a split-seconds chronograph mechanism alongside two column wheels, it’s horizontal clutch and the Rattrapante clamp. The movement on display here is that of the automatic calibre SXH6 which is manufactured with Jean-François Mojon of Chronode in Le Locle. If you thought the front view of the movement was impressive, through the back you can admire the variable inertia balance under a full bridge and a stunning pink gold oscillating weight. Peeling our eyes away from the movement, we should also note the 77 piece limited edition Czapek Antarctique Rattrapante watch comes with a 41.5mm stainless steel case, sapphire box-shaped glass, a 120m water resistant rating and stainless steel bracelet.
