Dive watch expert Zodiac turns their attention to the world of travel and exploration, partnering for the first time with legendary American airline brand Pan Am to launch a new limited edition Super Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch. The design is a bold explosion of colour dressed in Pan Am’s livery of white and blue, and features the international air carrier’s logo front and centre of the dial.
You might remember last year when the launch of the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT watch collection was delayed for a short moment due to a notable typo on the world time bezel. Despite the brief intermission to amend the mistake, the launch was a huge success, tempting the wrists of those with a love of 1970’s-inspired travel watches. The styling of the series was influenced by the Swiss watchmaker’s first Zodiac worldtimer watch launched in 1970 which like the new collection opted for a statement world time bezel, red GMT hand and contrasting 24 hour scale. The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT collection began with a choice of two designs, a grey dial with a black bezel and a white dial with a red bezel, both underlining Zodiac’s fondness for bold colour. Now joining the line-up is the new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch which sees the same architecture decorated with the Pan Am logo and the airline’s legendary blue and white attire.

The main set of specifications for the new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch follows suit to the two models launched last year. The brushed and polished stainless steel case boasts a sturdy diameter of 40mm and a height of 13.6mm joined by sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment, a screw in crown, screw down case back and a water resistance of 100 metres. On top, the case presents a new coloured worldtimer bezel, this time in a gorgeous shade of sky blue to match the hue used on the Pan Am logo. The bezel is bi-directional and adorned with a list of the 24 different global cities to correlate with the different time zones. To set the time for your desired location, you simply rotate the bezel to meet with the time on the inner 24 hour ring. Allowing for another time zone display is the matching baton GMT hand at the centre also dressed in blue.
The Pan Am theme continues onto the dial of the new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am Limited Edition watch which is finished in a crisp opaline white and embossed with the Pan Am globe in off-white directly at the centre. There’s also a second Pan Am logo placed at 6 o’clock, this time in the familiar shade of blue. The dial is clean yet striking, pairing its almost complete two-toned attire with a black outer chapter ring for the 24 hour scale, silvered box-shaped hour markers, baton hands for the hours and minutes and a square-tipped lollipop seconds hand. The indexes and all four hands are generously adorned with glow in the dark Superluminova for easy readability in low lighting.
The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch is powered by the Soprod C125 automatic winding movement. This is one of the newer Swiss made calibres in the industry, having been launched back in 2016, but it’s reliable GMT layout, 42 hour power reserve, 25 jewels and frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour has become a solid fixture for many other luxury watch brands. The limited edition of only 182 units is completed by a three-link Oyster-style stainless steel bracelet with folding buckle. The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf World Time GMT Pan Am watch comes in a custom packaged box set as part of the collaboration which includes a second lamb utility strap with polished stainless steel buckle and silk Pan Am label with white embroidering. You’ll also receive a Pan Am printed cleaning cloth and a commemorative Pan Am patch.
