MeisterSinger: The New Basel 2015 Perigraph

MeisterSinger  – probably one of the most unusual international watch brands to date with their clean sweeping hands and undisturbed dials. Over the years, the brand have introduced some beautiful and distinctive models that have been embraced by their wide following however, nothing is quite like the new MeisterSinger Perigraph drperi 1essed in a sharp sapphire blue, reflecting tones of zaffre from every approaching angle. MeisterSinger watches are perfect for those who don’t feel the need to count seconds. The Perigraph breed, despite integrating an additional date ring onto the dial, achieve clarity and intelligibility whilst encompassing meticulous designs within each new innovation. It was only 12 months ago that the brand introduced bold colour into their blueprint. The No. 3 and the Pangea both parade a beautifully deep blue hue that is capable of generating spectrums of light and shades, depending on its positioning against the wrist. The new addition will fit perfectly into the collection with its ancestors, all of which resemble a true member of the Perigraph family with the elongated singular hand that extends to the tip of the dial edge.

Whilst GMT watches are the perfect companion for a dedicated globetrotter, likewise Chronographs are suitable for motor sports, and Divers watches are best suited for underwater activities – The Perigraph comes into its own when we ask the question regarding what the perfect watch would be for leisure activities, socialising and vacation. There is no doubt that specialised watches are designed to function with compatible purpose for their intended activities, but Meistersinger have similarly contributed hours of planning, hands-on time and pleasure in creating a timepiece fitting for an “easy way of life”. The new models illustrate the level of care gone into hand assembling each individual component, allowing their highly skilled watchmakers the time to reflect and enjoy each moment. As a result of this commitment, the brand believe that special moments should not be measured with time, but enjoyed with a sense of relaxed enthusiasm. The new Perigraph not only accperigraph 2omplishes its purpose of delivering precision whilst adopting a sense of sophisticated ease, but also has the ability to make time disappear followed by an overwhelming decision to celebrate the timepiece as a beautiful work of art which soon takes over instead.  Meistersinger have incorporated simple timekeeping into an aesthetically stunning mechanical watch by building an elegant stainless steel structure around the in-house movement ETA 2824-2 which administers 38 hours of power reserve, exhibited through an anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass back. The 43mm case is not overly thin or small on the wrist considering its size, instead the sunburst dial exudes a strong presence which balances the overall look effortlessly. The clear, high contrast markings of the watch are accomplished by the 12 hours marked with a sans serif font, evoking a symmetrical finish and easy readability at a quick glance – an imperative quality evident within every Meistersinger timepiece.

The Perigraph model received a Red Dot Award in 2012 for its excellent product design and ever since, Meistersinger has continued to model their inventions along similar lines of remarkable composure, pushing forward with new evolving concepts to produce simplistic timekeeping instruments.
