Japanese watchmaker Seiko welcomes a new line of petite, diamond decorated women’s watches into its dressy Presage collection. The new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Diamond Twist watches are adorned with gorgeous wavy dials that evoke the iridescence of pearl and brilliant white cut diamonds for the hour markers. There are four in total, each named after their own cocktail including the Clover Club, Skydiving, White Lady and Pink Lady.
Since its launch in 2010, the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time collection has become a huge hit with budding watch collectors and avid connoisseurs alike. Every design is created in partnership with Shinobu Ishigaki, one of the world’s most highly regarded mixologists, taking inspiration from different cocktails around the world, many of which are created in Tokyo’s Skybar. The colours, tastes and sensations of these cocktails are then brought life within their own Seiko Presage design. We’ve seen several Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watches over the last decade, the “Red Brick” and “Illuminate” Limited Editions being two recent releases. The new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Diamond Twist Ladies watches however are the first additions to the collection for 2023.
For a long time, Seiko rarely tailored for the wrists of women so we’re grateful that more recently, female fans of Seiko watches have been able to wet their appetite with designs like the Seiko 5 Sports Compact and the premium Grand Seiko Quartz. Falling nicely in the middle of these in both aesthetics and price point is the new Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Diamond Twist Ladies watches. They boast elegant 30.3mm cases with box-shaped Hardlex crystal glass, 50 metre water resistant ratings and gorgeous wavy textured dials set with 8 diamond dot indices. All four are also powered by the new in-house Calibre 2R05 automatic winding movement with a 41 hour power reserve.
The most timeless of the new Seiko women’s watch collection is the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Skydiving’ Diamond Twist SRE007J1 watch. It boasts a brightly polished stainless steel case and bezel, a five-row link bracelet to match and an elegant pastel blue dial with silvered hardware. Following suit is the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Clover Club’ Diamond Twist SRE009J1 watch which elects the same case and bracelet but with a crisp silver textured dial and contrasting rose gold hardware to match the gold plated crown at 3 o’clock.
Showcasing more rose gold, the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘Pink Lady’ Diamond Twist SRE012J1 watch pairs its full stainless steel bracelet and case with a rose gold plated bezel and crown. To match, rose gold hands and hour markers adorn a feminine pink wavy dial. Last but not least, the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time ‘White Lady’ Diamond Twist SRE010J1 watch nominates a stainless steel case, a yellow gold plated bezel and crown and a gorgeous two-toned steel and gold bracelet. The dial is coloured in a creamy gold hue and set with yellow gold hardware that shines just as brilliantly as the diamond indices.
