Three creative, daring and globally respected brands have united to create a single timepiece: the Zodiac x Rowing Blazers x Harry’s Bar Super Sea Wolf watch. The limited edition of 282 units is designed to celebrate the oldest cocktail bar in Europe, known as Harry’s Bar, and has been conceived by Zodiac in collaboration with American clothing brand, Rowing Blazers.
Located at “Sank Roo Doe Noo” in Paris, Harry’s New York Bar has been a hotspot for distinguished expats and international celebrities since it opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1911. It takes its name from its famed original barman, Scotsman Harry MacElhone , and from the original bar itself, which was relocated to Paris from its first home in Manhattan. Over the past century, the bar has witnessed the makings of histories, whether it be figures like Ernest Hemingway, Coco Chanel, Bill Tilden and Humphrey Bogart or George Gershwin who wrote “An American in Paris” in the basement piano bar. Alongside its vast clientele, Harry’s Bar is also known for having invented famous cocktails like the Bloody Mary, the Sidecar and the French 75.
Harry’s Bar also has its own secret society known as the International Bar Flies (or I.B.F). Member of the latter and Founder and Creative Director of the American apparel company Rowing Blazers, Jack Carlson has been celebrating the iconic bar with his own range of clothing and accessories, all adorned in deep green and embroidered with the famous cartoon barflies. Now, this very aesthetic has been passed along to Swiss watchmaker Zodiac who to celebrate the iconic bar with a historic timepiece, has launched a new limited edition Zodiac x Rowing Blazers x Harry’s Bar Super Sea Wolf watch.

The Zodiac x Rowing Blazers x Harry’s Bar Super Sea Wolf Limited Edition maintains much of the same spec as previous designs in the luxury watch brand’s Super Sea Wolf diver’s collection including a robust stainless steel case with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 13.5mm. On top, a polished black bezel allows you to measure elapsed dive times with its contrasting white 60 minute scale and unidirectional functionality. The case also promises a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment, a screw in crown and a screw down case back, all assisting in a 200 metre water resistance.
The case back of the Zodiac x Rowing Blazers x Harry’s Bar Super Sea Wolf watch stands out from previous editions for the special medallion placed at the very centre showcasing the Rowing Blazers logo. On the opposite side, the dial also celebrates the collaboration of the three brands with the Zodiac and Rowing Blazers emblems placed near the 12 o’clock position and a pair of large, colourful cartoon barflies set at 6 o’clock above lettering for Harry’s Bar. The dial is finished in a gorgeous brushed emerald green and set with faceted hour markers and large Superluminova hands for the hours, minutes and seconds. There’s also a blackened date window at 3 o’clock.
Powering the limited edition Zodiac x Rowing Blazers x Harry’s Bar Super Sea Wolf watch is the STP 1-11 automatic winding movement. It’s the very same that has fuelled previous Super Sea Wolf watches, like the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Ceramic watch launched at the end of last year. It provides a decent power reserve of 44 hours, 26 jewels and a frequency of 28,800vph. Arriving with every Zodiac x Rowing Blazers x Harry’s Bar Super Sea Wolf watch is a pair of straps. The first is a classic 5-link stainless steel bracelet and the second is a French military-style #tide strap made from 100% recycled ocean plastic. Both straps perfectly complete the retro character of the Zodiac limited edition.
