The turtle shell is back! Certina have released some incredible new Certina watches for 2019 that continue to show off their technical sophistication and sporty spirit. Certina Heritage DS PH200M Watch (C036.407.11.050.00)
Vintage re-editions were incredibly popular at Baselworld 2019 with brands like Breitling bringing historic models back to life. With their own rich history, Certina have followed suit and unveiled this exquisite Certina Heritage DS PH200M watch inspired by a legendary PH200M from 1967. It’s almost impossible to see any difference between the original and the new with the very same double security (DS) system seal surrounding the movement inside the case and the exact dial design, hands and bezel.
The only differences between the new Certina Heritage DS PH200M watch and its predecessor is the size of the case and the movement. Measuring to 42.8mm and crafted from stainless steel, the case is only 3mm larger than the original while the new ETA Powermatic 80 movement is an automatic calibre of the latest generation. Just as its name suggests, this Certina PH200M watch is also water resistance to 200 metres thanks to the screw-down crown and screw-down case back and comes with two straps: a steel bracelet and blue textile strap.

Certina DS 8 Lady Watch (C0330513612800)

The famous turtle shell logo found on every Certina watch has long been recognised as a symbol for robustness and longevity, but their relationship to marine life goes much further than this. Certina joined forces with the Sea Turtle Conservancy and its Tour de Turtles migration-tracking project in 2017 and has since been supporting the charity’s efforts in conservation, awareness, and education.
To celebrate 60 years of the organisation’s efforts in protecting sea turtles, Certina have released this stunning Certina DS Action Diver Powermatic 80 Sea Turtle Conservancy Special Edition watch. This breathtaking two-toned stainless steel and rose gold PVD plated model is the ultimate do-it-all instrument that can go from a day in the office, to a night on the town to a dive in the oceans.
Powered by the impressive Powermatic 80 automatic movement, this Certina DS Action Day Date watch comes equipped with classic hour, minute and seconds function and two large day and date windows at 3 o clock. Thanks to the sapphire crystal case back, we can catch a glimpse of the exquisite self-winding calibre alongside some of its 25 jewels.
