It has been launched especially to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Spring Drive Chronograph GMT movement, also known as the 9R96 automatic calibre.

It is suitably sized at 46.4mm in diameter and 16.2mm in thickness and has a bold looking tachymeter on the bezel.The dial has been designed to be effortless to read with diamond cut hands and markers, extended GMT and minute hands and Lumibrite inserts on the hands and markers. The case of the Grand Seiko Black Ceramic SBGC219 Limited Edition watch glistens thanks to the mirror finish polish and the signature sharp angels of each component. Cleverly, the zirconia ceramic parts on the bracelet are also raised slightly above the level of the titanium making it virtually impervious to scratches.
