Bremont extends its coveted motorsport-inspired collection with a third Bremont Jaguar watch. Joining the ranks of the E-Type and D-Type references, the Bremont Jaguar C-Type watch debuts a new all-silver dial, a black aluminium insert bezel and the first Jaguar ‘Growler’ hood badge case back.
Fourteen years ago, we saw Bremont take a step away from their aviation heritage and into the world of motorsport as they collaborated with one of Britain’s most extraordinary car manufacturers, Jaguar. Together, they created six Bremont chronometers inspired by the E-Type Jaguar racing car before launching models like the Bremont Jaguar D-Type in 2019 and the more recently released Jaguar E-Type 60th Anniversary Limited Edition. Seemingly without much effort, these designs became some of the most prolific British-made timepieces on the market characterised by gauge dial designs, tachometer needle hands, Dunlop racing tyre inspired crowns and alloy spoked steering wheel automatic winding rotors. Now joining the family is a new watch, one which takes inspiration from the legendary 1951 and 1953 24 hours Le Mans winner, the Jaguar C-Type.

The Case
In honour of this magnificent vehicle, British watch manufacturer Bremont extends its already esteemed collection of Jaguar watches with the new Bremont Jaguar C-Type watch. The 43mm stainless steel case is directly inspired by the curves of the C-Type car offering a fluid finish across the chamfers of the case and on the lugs. The bevels on the lugs are polished while the rest of the case is treated to circular brushing. Engineered using the brand’s famous Trip-Tick case construction, the Bremont Jaguar C-Type also reveals a scratch resistant PVD treated case middle and on top, a bi-directional rotating bezel. The latter is engineered from anodized aluminium, referencing the original aluminium bodywork of the car, and is set with a tachymeter scale which is perfect for measuring speed in motorsport.
The case of the Bremont Jaguar C-Type watch continues to awaken elements of the legendary machine with a special stainless steel closed case back detailed with a decorative coin depicting the Jaguar ‘Growler’ hood badge. At 3 o’clock, a screw in crown assisting in a 200 metre water resistant rating is also engraved with the original Jaguar heritage Dunlop tyre tread, a feature consistent across the entire Bremont Jaguar watch collection. Completing the exterior is a perforated vintage brown calfskin leather strap closed by a classic stainless steel pin buckle.
The Dial
At the centre, the Bremont Jaguar C-Type watch opts for a silver-plated multi-level dial with sunburst decoration and a brushed dial ring. The Jaguar logo is embossed at 6 o’clock parallel to the Bremont emblem at the top, both surrounded by black gloss Arabic numerals and a black minutes track, the latter changes between 8 and 4 o’clock to mirror the aesthetics of a dashboard counter on a Jaguar C-Type car. The dial also reveals white subsidiary dials for the 30 minutes counter and the small seconds with the seconds detailed with a red accent to mimic the original Smiths gauges from the C-type. To suit, the central chronograph seconds hand features a C-Type-inspired needle hand in red. All timekeeping hardware, date window included, is finished in matte black, with the hour and minutes hands treated to blue emission Superluminova.
The Movement
The engine responsible for driving the Bremont Jaguar C-Type watch is the BE-50AV automatic winding movement, a chronometer-certified calibre equipped with a Glucydur balance wheel, Anachron balance spring and an anti-magnetic Nivaflex mainspring. We’re also promised hours, minutes and central sweeping chronograph seconds, a date complication, small seconds and a 30 minutes counter supported by a 42 hour power reserve, 27 jewels and a frequency of 28,800vph.
