Introducing The Fourth Member Of The Organic Dietrich Range. Basel 2015 Release!

Dietrich watches are all about harmonising the senses. A balance between forms, feelings, pleasures and sensations – the four core fundamentals of which Parisian designer, Emmanual Dietrich draws upon to interpret his life experiences through his watch designs.

DIETRICH 2The small collections consist of a delicate but bold and powerful unity. The original three watches, the OT-1, OT-2 and OT-3 manage to effectively magnify the creator’s artistic scope, enveloping a sense of “organic time” and an expression for desirable balance in life. The new OT-4 completes a stunning quartet. For me, the timepieces illustrates the philosophy of the four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn concluded with the final jigsaw piece – Winter. Expressing the dynamic tension of innovation and tradition, the fourth member integrates a classic blue steeled 24-hour and seconds indicator as well as central dial hands.  A unique coating is added to the under-surface of the sapphire glass of the 0T-4 – the Titric C-5, punctuating the watch face with a burst of vibrant energy.  The bezel of DIETRICH 1the watch is carbon-forged and protects the ergonomic grey PVD stainless steel casing which has undergone a micro-blast treatment. Highly skilled technicians within the Dietrich factory distribute their highly refined skills by applying a four-tiered layer of materials onto the dial. The first and third layer consists of a sunbrushed grey, the second and fourth layers – a vertical brushed middle grey, surrounded by a carbon-forged bezel fixed down with steel hex screws. Although 49mm wide from one bezel edge to another, the dimensions are well balanced and give rise to a beautifully proportioned timepiece. The Cobalt blue injection separates the detailing within the face, breaking up the light and dark grey tones of the background dial and radiating a sense of depth and complexity to the architecture of the timepiece. Dietrich watches are also debuting their first ever rubber strap variety – part of the exclusive “lace-through” collection. The black FKM rubber is comfortable and flexible featuring a ribbing effect on the underside to facilitate a harmonious fit on the wearer’s wrist. The strap is custom designed to allow for increased airflow at the skin’s surface by the implementation of aerating holes, and is uniquely finished with a beautifully engraved stainless steel or black PVD coated buckle.

The modified mechanical movement, Myota 82-S-7 is tastefully exposed through the anti-glare exhibition glass back, permeating an understated intelligence that can only be appreciated by the most eager of watch devotees.
