British watch manufacturer Bremont extends their Solo Ladies watch collection once again, this time with a series of colourful dial designs inspired by the seasons in England. There are five Bremont Solo Lady K Colour watches in total, four crafted from classic steel with dials in brilliant blue, springtime green, autumn orange and winter silver. A fifth and final piece breaks the mould with an 18ct rose gold case and a mesmerising mother of pearl dial.
During the autumn of last year, Bremont launched their inaugural Bremont Lady K watch with a duo of stunning mother of pearl-decorated timepieces. British co-founders Nick and Giles English named the collection as such in tribute to their mother, taking the name from the boat their father lovingly hand-built for her before his passing. They wanted the range of luxury women’s watches to embody their mother’s artistic and adventurous spirit and in doing so, help encourage women to aim for a life of the same. Following its success, Bremont has now extended their Solo Ladies line once more. Alongside the Bremont Solo Maya watch we’ve already reviewed here, we’ve also been treated to a beautiful range of Bremont Solo Lady K Colour watches adorned with sunray dials and plenty of diamonds.
As we mentioned, there are five Bremont Lady K Colour watches to choose from, four in stainless steel and a single piece engineered from solid gold. The stainless steel models include the Bremont Lady K Sky which features a gorgeous sunray blue dial inspired by the summer skies and the Bremont Solo Lady K Jade watch whose rich green dial evokes the British countryside in springtime. There’s also a gorgeous Bremont Solo Lady K Fawn watch with a sunray amber dial inspired by the shades of autumn and lastly the Bremont Solo Lady K Frost watch which boasts a sunburst dial in silver designed to mirror the snow-covered hills of the Chiltern. For the Bremont Solo Lady K Gold watch, the British watch manufacturer sticks with the same dial seen on the Lady K watches from last year with an iridescent mother of pearl centre.
All the Bremont Solo Lady K Colour watches offer the same dial set up with 11 baton indexes decorating the dial dressed in 33 claw set 0.8mm VVS FG diamonds. For the 6 o’clock position, a nickel-plated or gold trapezoid-shaped date window is included. To match, slender leaf shaped hands are added for the hours and minutes alongside a thin, straight seconds hand. For even more sparkle, the Bremont Solo Lady K Colour watches showcase an extra 60 white, brilliant cut 1.35mm VVS FG diamonds on the bezel. Bremont assures all diamonds used in their luxury watch collections are ethically sourced, follow the Kimberly Process and are conflict free.
For the cases, the Bremont Lady K Colour watches measure to 34mm in diameter with a height of 10mm. No matter whether it’s stainless steel or 18 carat rose gold, the case is engineered using the brand’s legendary Trip-Tick case construction for additional durability and pairs with a screw down crown, domed sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment and an exhibition case back where you can admire the automatic winding movement working inside. There’s also an impressive water resistant rating of 100 metres – something hard to find on a ladies dress watch like this.
The movement in question is the automatic winding Calibre BE-92AV. It features a Glucydur balance wheel, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex mainspring and maintains a frequency of 28,800vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. The 25-jewelled movement is displayed through the back of the watch where it proudly shows of its custom decorated oscillating rotor. Completing the Bremont Solo Lady K Colour watches is a choice of two straps: a three row link stainless steel bracelet or an embossed leather strap coloured in the same shade as the dial. The Bremont Solo Lady K Rose Gold watch is only available on a pink leather strap.
