We have completely fell hook, line and sinker for the release of the new SevenFriday Yacht Club P3/06 watch. This stunning new design has been constructed from the famous SevenFriday P-Series collection with its familiar industrial aesthetic, but has brought with it a brand new nautical theme inspired by classic sail boating.
It’s been plain sailing for the Swiss watch manufacturer ever since it was founded in 2012. They have delivered some of the most iconic and recognisable timepieces to date and continue to impress all watch enthusiasts with every new release. The new SevenFriday Yacht Club P3/06 watch is no exception and makes us all wish we had a yacht to pair with this striking new instrument.
Without fail, every design element of the SevenFriday Yacht Club P3/06 watch has some nautical inspiration behind it. The wooden animation ring (SevenFriday lingo for the bezel) is crafted from seven layers of maple veneer, a material manufactured in Tyrol, a magical mountainous state in Austria. This gorgeous wooden effect is inspired by the planked deck of a ship and pairs beautifully with the matching white dial ring representing a wooden helm.
The striking design concept only gets more impressive when you realise that the combination of the red hour hand, white minute disk and blue detailing recreates the shape of a compass on the face of the dial. The hour hand and polished rhodium indexes found at 2, 6 and 10 o clock have also been filled with Superluminova for easier legibility in the dark. A quirky anchor symbol is added on the face of the dial beside the renowned brand logo as well as engraved onto the polished stainless steel back.
Like alot of SevenFriday watches, the new SevenFriday Yacht Club P3/06 gives us a teaser of the automatic movement within through the matte blue skeleton plate at 7 o clock. The timepiece is powered by the Miyota 82S7 automatic calibre which equips the watch with hour and minute function, a matte blue 24 hour disc at 9 o clock, a matte blue seconds disc at 4 o clock and a power reserve of 40 hours.
