Meet the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour Watches

TAG Heuer have overwhelmed us with an amazing selection of new watches for Watches & Wonders 2023. We’ve welcomed several TAG Heuer Carrera Chronographs, a colourful range of Carrera Date watches and TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon. The one release not part of the Carrera collection however is the new range of TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches. The diving instruments maintain all the iconic elements of the series but introduce new cases with 18ct yellow gold or 5N rose gold bezels.

There are four new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches to choose from, two in distinctively different sizes. The first is the well-rounded 40mm model which features either a solid 18ct yellow gold bezel insert and crown or a 5N rose gold bezel insert and crown. The second is the ladies 30mm wide reference which again comes with both choices of gold on the bezel and crown. The men’s and lady’s models also differ in their dial designs. The 40mm TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches uphold the historic striped décor and trapezoid-shaped hour markers. The ladies TAG Heuer Aquaracer models, on the other hand, elect smokey displays with diamond dot indices.

Starting with the larger TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches, these measure to 40mm in diameter with brushed stainless steel cases and the dodecagon-shaped unidirectional rotating bezels in yellow or rose gold. The bezels are engraved with 60 minute dive scales while the screw in knurled crowns at 3 o’clock, matching the bezel in their metal, assist in a 200 metre water resistant rating. The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Yellow Gold 40mm watch pairs its opulent yellow gold and Superluminova adorned hardware with a blue gradient dial with horizontal striping while the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Rose Gold 40mm watch nominates a black gradient grooved dial with matching rose gold sword-shaped hands and trapezoid markers. Powering the men’s TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches is the well-known Calibre 5 automatic winding movement. Alongside hours, minutes, seconds and date, it provides a 38 hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800vph.

The smaller TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches are also very similar to the women’s models launched last year. They measure to 30mm in diameter with brushed steel cases and the same dodecagon-shaped unidirectional rotating bezel in either yellow or rose gold. Like the men’s watches, these are also water resistant rating to 200 metres with screw in crowns, screw down case backs and sapphire crystal glass. The dials are beautifully smoked in black or blue and decorated around the circumference with VS 1.4mm diamond indexes (0.107ct) and yellow or rose gold Superluminova hardware. The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour 30mm watches are fuelled by the Calibre 9 automatic winding movement with a date complication, 40 hour power reserve and frequency of 28,800vph.

The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Bi-Colour watches are also completed by a “new” strap. We say “new”, because it actually originally debuted on the Aquaracer Solargraph watch from last year but this is the first time it has been available on any of the standard Aquaracer models. The rubber band has a textured central channel and smooth outer borders and closes to the wrist by a stainless steel deployment clasp with an adjustment link extension. The 40mm models have a functional quick-adjust system while the 30mm models have standard drilled clasp holes for micro-adjustment.
