When childhood friends Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosillo founded the Bell & Ross watch brand back in 1992, it’s unlikely they realised quite how influential the name would become. Drawing inspiration from aviation and military instruments, Bell & Ross watches have become some of the most durable, precise and visually striking designs on the market, famously known for their unique “circle-within-a-square” aesthetic. As we expected, the Bell & Ross Watches & Wonders 2023 showcase was much of the same, revealing four new designs in this shape from their BR 05 and BR 03 collections.
The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White Bronze Watch
Our personal favourite design from the Bell & Ross Watches & Wonders 2023 event was this BR 03-92 Diver White Bronze watch. It’s nothing excessively different to what we’ve seen before, utilising the popular BR 03 architecture with its 42mm by 42mm square-shaped case crafted from bronze with a 300 metre water resistance, sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment and screw in crown. As with all bronze watches, the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White Bronze watch will develop its own patina over time meaning each of the 999 limited edition pieces will be unique to the wearer. The watch is also still powered by the BR-CAL 302 automatic winding movement with a 38-hour power reserve. New to the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White Bronze watch is its dial and bezel, the latter is unidirectional and topped by a brown aluminium insert while the display is done in a gorgeous opaline silver finish which has a creamy white appearance. To match the case, the dial is set with applied rose gold-plated indices and hands with Superluminova and a brown calfskin leather strap secures it to the wrist. With every order, you’ll also receive an additional black rubber strap.
The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 GMT Blue Watch
Another addition to their BR 03 series for the Bell & Ross Watches & Wonders 2023 showcase is this Bell & Ross BR 03-92 GMT Blue watch. Popular with world travellers, their GMT watch has previously come with a “Pepsi” inspired black and red bezel and dial in which the day and night time hours contrast from each other for easy readability. This time, the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 GMT Blue watch offers the same ease of use but with a black and blue 24 hour bezel. The bezel sits above a 42mm by 42mm stainless steel case with the iconic four screws at each corner, a screw in crown, 100 metre water resistant rating and sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment. The dial matches the bezel with a sunray blue centre set with large Arabic numerals and four central hands for the hours, minutes, seconds and GMT. The latter stands out proudly with a red-coloured arrow tip. Powering the Bell & Ross BR 03-93 GMT Blue watch is the automatic winding BR-CAL.303 movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. The Bell & Ross BR 05 Green Gold Watch
For the last two Bell & Ross Watches & Wonders 2023 releases, the Swiss watch brand turns towards their popular integrated sports watch, the BR 05. To start off, we have the Bell & Ross BR 05 Green Gold watch which combines the urban-inspired architecture with 18ct gold and a gorgeous green sunray dial. It’s an opulent piece in both its design and price with the entirety of its faceted 40mm case, rounded-square bezel and bracelet crafted from 18 carat rose gold. There’s also sapphire crystal glass on both the front and back, a 100 metre water resistant rating and the BR-CAL.321 automatic winding movement at its core. As the name suggests, the Bell & Ross BR 05 Green Gold watch pairs the warm case with a bottle green dial with a sunburst effect and gold-plated numerals and hands. There’s also a subtle date window at 3 o’clock with its own gold border to match. Completing the Bell & Ross BR 05 Green Gold watch is an integrated bracelet or you can choose a green alligator leather strap, both closed by a folding buckle.
The Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Golden Watch
The final instalment in Bell & Ross’ Watches & Wonders 2023 collection is the Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Golden watch. This once again utilises the integrated architecture of their BR 05 model but pairs it with a complex, gold-coloured skeleton dial. Interestingly, it isn’t the movement that is gold-plated but instead the transparent sapphire panel that sits above it is coloured in a gorgeous golden hue. To match, the dial is presented with a galvanised golden flange and gold-plated numerals, indexes and hands with added glow in the dark Superluminova. The rest of the Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Golden watch replicates those before it, electing a stainless steel case at 40mm in diameter, a 100 metre water resistant rating, sapphire crystal glass and a choice of two straps. You can choose from a brown horizontally-grooved rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet closed by a traditional folding buckle.
