MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze Limited Edition Watch Review

2018 is the year of bronze and MeisterSinger are jumping aboard with their new MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze Limited Edition watch. With the success of other bronze editions like the Oris Carl Brashear Chronograph and the Bell and Ross BR 03 92 Diver, it was only a matter of time before other brands joined in on the trend. This gorgeous Bronze Perigraph watch is part of the German manufacturer’s Classic Plus collection featuring a range of timepieces with automatic movements and an open date ring.

MeisterSinger are most recognised for their single-handed watches. Their collections are inspired by the first examples of timekeeping like the sundial and the hour glass, both using simple and primordial designs to measure time. At first glance, the MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze Limited Edition watch might seem confusing to read but when you know the trick its really quite easy. The dial is divided by 144 markers, each representing 5 minutes so the time showing on the image below is 5 minutes past 10.

The glistening bronze case of this MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze Limited Edition watch is definitely going to be its biggest selling point. Bronze has become the material of choice in the watch world for 2018, not only for aesthetic, but for its unique ability to change colour over time. When exposed to the pH levels in perspiration and moisture in the air, bronze develops a natural patina meaning there will be 100 limited edition pieces of this MeisterSinger Perigraph watch bespoke to the wearer

Measuring to 43mm in diameter and 11.5mm in height, this MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze Limited Edition watch is sized almost perfectly for the average wrist size. The case is also equipped with a striking 50 metre water resistant transparent glass back, so you can admire the gorgeous ETA 2824-2 (also known as Sellita SW200-1) automatic movement hard at work. The movement boasts 25 jewels, a power reserve of 38 hours, an Incablock antishock system and 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour.

The striking black dial pairs perfectly with the bronze case while the subtle red accents and cream numerals and indices add another layer of sophistication. The single-handed dial is set with one large centre hand which displays the hour and minutes and a useful open date ring indicated by a red triangle pointer at 12 o clock. To match the black dial, a vintage inspired black leather strap is added with a bronze buckle.

Limited to only 100 pieces and retailing at £2,090, this MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze Limited Edition watch is definitely a winner in our eyes. This elegant timepiece is expected to be released in September this year but we highly recommend placing a pre-order here.
