Seiko Prospex Diver Sumo Watches (SPB101J1 and SPB103J1)

Another fantastic treat for Seiko watch collectors, for 2019 the brand has released two incredible new Seiko Prospex Diver Sumo watches that come with a high-end look at an affordable price. Previous Seiko Sumo watches have been highly popular with collectors and we don’t doubt that these two models will follow suit, not only for their reputation but for their improvements.

The two new Seiko Prospex Sumo Diver watches come in a typical divers design with large lugs, bulky stainless steel cases measuring to 45mm and unidirectional bezels in a choice of green or black. One welcome improvement that we are pleased to see is the addition of sapphire crystal glass which replaces the Hardlex that the brand has used in previous Seiko Prospex models. We are also treated to a more traditional font on the bezel which has replaced the wider, more stretched numerals found on older versions. Although they are subtle changes, we are loving the new aesthetics of these Seiko Prospex Diver Sumo watches.

Specifications:

  • Case Size: 45mm
  • Case Material: Stainless steel
  • Movement: 6R35 Automatic
  • Functions: Hour, minute, seconds, date
  • Power Reserve: 70 hours
