Celebrating twenty years of acting as Official Timekeeper for the ice hockey governing body, Tissot have released a new watch earlier this year dressed in a fresh new sporty aesthetic with strong focus on speed and discipline. The IIHF, based in Zurich, Switzerland, has 74 members and manages international competitions as well as aiming to promote friendly relationships among national association members for the good of the sport. Another purpose is to develop young players, game officials and coaches to help shape the future for the sport on a world-wide level. Just recently, the 2015 IIHF men’s World-Ranking competitions welcomed an astonishing 652, 348 spectators at the Quarter Final in Prague. Tissot Watch Company were at the final, witnessing Canada triumphantly taking the lead for gold position, shortly followed by the best players of the competition being presented with a specially engraved Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar Watch. Housing the finest T-Touch movement to date, the watch at first glance boasts its crisp and considerably large screen with extremely fast moving hands. Remaining lightweight and comfortable on the wrist, the players enjoyed posing proudly with their new tissot quickster 2technological masterpieces strapped firmly and securely to their wrists.

With a completely different visual appeal to the T-Touch expert however, the Tissot Quickster Ice Ho

watch embraces state of the art timing in this new and versatile innovation. The new watch which takes inspiration from the dynamism, precision and skill involved in Ice Hockey, also mirrors those colour associated with the activity in that of the red, blues and whites of the watch’s striking uniform. Ice Hockey is one of the most practiced sports in Switzerland, similar to that of the country’s watch making industry. The Tissot Quickster Ice Hockey is a compelling blend of excitement, suspense and adrenaline – experiences often corresponding to those at the live tournaments, yet the brand have certainly not compromised on style either. Encased within a 42mm robust structure made from 316L stainless steel, the Swiss quartz ETA G10.211 performs with precision and reliability whilst also offering 100 meters water resistance. The sleek and sophisticated design displays a deep violet-blue bezel finished with a combination of white and blue skating-line effects, reminiscent of the marks left by fast moving blades on the ice. A white lacquered dial hosts three chronograph sub dials: a tissot quickster 330 minute, a one tenth of a second and a seconds scale, accompanied by a date aperture located at the 4 o’clock hour mark. A striking red hued second hand with a hammer style base, adds leverage to the overall readability of the watch, leaving a beautiful black synthetic strap with blue contrast stitching and a stainless steel pin buckle to finish the piece perfectly.
