Rado True Phospo Limited Edition Watch Review

The Rado True Phospo Limited Edition watch is a timepiece we have wanted to talk about for a while now. It’s extraordinary twist on a skeletonised dial has us completely in awe. To bring us this unique watch, Rado teamed up with Swiss industrial design studio Big-Game. Together they have created this stunning limited edition model of only 1,003 pieces.

The exceptional honeycomb style dial is made the centrepiece of the design offering a subtle view into the watch’s automatic movement. The futuristic styling of the skeletonised finish is made more unique as the crevices at the hour markers are decorated with Super-LumiNova allowing for easy legibility in the dark. Super-LumiNova is also used on the tips of the hour and minute hands and fully coats the seconds hand providing a modern aesthetic and useful readability.

Turn the timepiece over and you get a second window into the automatic movement. Also decorated with the honey comb effect, the sapphire crystal case back gives view to the self winding calibre where the rotor has been decorated in Super-LumiNova, allowing you to watch the movement power the timepiece in total darkness.

The 40mm case of the Rado True Phospo Limited Edition watch is created from a monobloc of matte black ceramic with a matching matte black ceramic bracelet and titanium folding style clasp. Hidden within the case is the ETA calibre C07.631 which offers hours, minutes and seconds function and an impressive power reserve of 80 hours.

With only 1,003 pieces of the Rado True Phospo Limited Edition watch being released – and three of these already allocated to the founding designers of Big-Game – we highly recommend getting your order in now! For more information on the Rado True Phospo and where to order your own, click here.
