Not exactly a watch, but certainly in keeping with many of their smaller form watches: the designer label Dolce & Gabbana, together with Son-Ericsson, has recently launched the Jalou, a stunning rose-coloured clamshell mobile phone.
The partnership this mobile phone represents in D&G and Sony Ericsson ensures that sophisticated, state-of-the-art technology is delivered with contemporary, metropolitan glamour.
The Jalou is about the size of a tube of lipstick, and the 5cm screen can be converted instantly into a mirror. A number of standard features are included, as well as some extras. The very stylish phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera and an analogue radio. Bluetooth technology and 3G internet are available to access the web. Some of the interesting extras include a horoscope display, calendar updates and a pedometer for those with mild exercise regimes on their mind.
With their leading experience in designer couture and fashion D&G added a number of special design touches to the mobile phone. The colour, Sparkling Rose, is typical of D&G’s palette with 24-carat gold plating and a facet-cut jewel form. The phone also comes with exclusive D&G content.
