Continuing to boast a strong relationship with the racing world, Tissot have once again released a new Tissot T-Race MotoGP 2017 Limited Edition watch. For 2017 Tissot have unveiled a pair of motor inspired timepieces, each a limited edition chronograph with different movements and design elements. Tissot have been involved with motor sport since the 1960s and in 2001, they became the Official Timekeeper of MotoGP. Since then, they have been gracing us with limited edition MotoGP watches every year.
For anyone who is an enthusiast of cars or motor racing, these Tissot MotoGP 2017 watches will be screaming your name. Both are designed to reflect the aesthetics of the machines that race around the track with dashboard counters on the dial, footrest pushers for the chronograph buttons, rear suspension inspired lugs and tire tread rubber straps.
The first and most expensive Tissot T-Race MotoGP 2017 Limited Edition watch is a rose gold PVD beauty that is limited to only 2017 pieces. Measuring to 45mm in width and 16mm in thickness it becomes quite a chunky watch, but thankfully they have included bold dial features and chunky chronograph pushers to balance the design out nicely. The T0924272705100 is powered by a Swiss automatic movement that is displayed beautifully through the open case back and boasts a power reserve of 45 hours.
The rose gold automatic model retails at £1,030 but hasn’t actually been released yet. Tissot have advised it will be soon with an estimated date around June 2017. On to the second model of the Tissot T-Race MotoGP 2017 Limited Edition watch now, and as you can already tell it is a much less flashy design with a dark masculine undertone. The aesthetic of the T0924173706100 is still very similiar to the rose gold model with its bold and bulky style, but instead we are greeted with a dark grey and black PVD coated case and striking dark blue detailing across the strap and dial. This variation is also powered by a quartz movement, which not only brings the retail price down a fair bit but also offers a higher standard of accuracy.
