Waking up to the release of a new Bell and Ross watch is always a pleasure, but last week we were completely surprised at the announcement of an entire collection of new Bell and Ross BR 05 watches. Designed as an ‘urban instrument’, the BR 05 watches come with a resolutely modern look with perfectly flat surfaces, effortlessly integrated bracelets and a distinctive round dial within a square case.
The Bell and Ross BR 05 watches have an almost futuristic aesthetic, one that remains close to home with the brand’s famous square case and recognisable Arabic alongside new and improved features including tapering lugs and a sleek stainless steel bracelet. There are currently five Bell and Ross BR 05 watches available to order, each offering their own unique take on urban exploration.
The five models of Bell and Ross BR 05 watches include three stainless steel versions available in three different dial colourways: silver grey, navy blue or deep black. We are then treated to a stunning 18 carat rose gold version which look absolutely captivating up close. Then last but not least, we have the Bell and Ross BR 05 Skeleton with a skeleton dial and mechanism designed as a limited edition of 500 pieces.
Set to become a new icon of the Bell and Ross watch collections, all the Bell and Ross BR 05 watches are available on either a black ribbed rubber strap or – our personal choice – a metal bracelet. The bracelet is new to the brand’s identity and brings a whole new dimension to the collection. We love how the first link of the bracelet forms part of the case, acting as its own pair of lugs which allows the strap to mould effortlessly and comfortably to the wrist.
The Bell and Ross BR 05 watches all measure to 40mm in size with a 100 metre water resistance and sapphire crystal glass on both the front and case back. The three standard stainless steel models and the 18 carat rose gold model boast the BR-CAL.321 automatic mechanical movement which provides hour, minute, seconds and date function. The BR 05 Skeleton Limited Edition stands out with the BR-CAL.322 automatic movement fully exposed on the dial while providing standard hour, minute and seconds.
We have no doubt that these new Bell and Ross BR 05 watches are going to be a huge hit for any new or existing Bell and Ross fans, with the Bell and Ross BR 05 Skeleton Limited Edition becoming a favourite with collectors.
