TAG Heuer Connected Kingsman Special Edition Smart Watch Review

In association with acclaimed director Matthew Vaughn and his new movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle, TAG Heuer have released a fresh and thrilling new timepiece, the TAG Heuer Connected Kingsman Special Edition Smart watch. TAG Heuer’s Connected watches have already had incredible success thanks to the genuine Swiss manufacture behind them, but with a brand new rose gold design and special edition dial, these smartwatches have suddenly become a lot more exciting.

The Secret Service is back for a second instalment but this time without the Bremont Kingman issue watch that decorated our screens during the first film. This time, Director Matthew Vaughn wanted something different adding: “For Kingsman: The Golden Circle, we needed a smart watch for our agents. We looked at the different options available, but none of them were elegant enough for a Kingsman. Then I saw an interview on Bloomberg TV with Jean-Claude Biver about his connected watch, and it became immediately obvious; the Kingsman agents would wear the TAG Heuer Connected.”

The strong and impressive functionality of the TAG Heuer Connected Kingsman Special Edition Smart Watch is a perfect match for the action packed plot, and with leading stars Colin Firth and Taron Egerton adorning the timepiece on screen, you will really get to see what the timepiece is made of. The watch itself has been designed with the sophisticated and gentlemanly style of the agents in mind. With rose gold lugs and an elegant brown leather strap embellished with the Kingman print, the watch blends effortlessly into the rest of the film’s aesthetic.

The TAG Heuer Connected Kingsman Special Edition Smart watch still boasts many of the popular functions as its original counterpart including GPS function, contactless payment functionality, HD display and Android Wear app access. Nevertheless, the special edition timepiece has been equipped with an array of brand new functions to make it truly unique to the film. The dial is available in either midnight blue or grey and bears the Kingsman inscription and logo at 9 o clock and 3 o clock.  Not only that, but at 10:10 the dial vibrates for 10 seconds and the famous K-shaped logo appears while the original Android Wear lighting function has been replaced with the logo too.

Will this partnership be permanent? Who knows. But if the success of the first film is anything to go by, we may have ourselves another Omega and James Bond relationship. With the film already out this weekend and the watch ready to order, you could be sitting in the theatre wearing the same watch as the heroes on screen.
