Longines 2019 Watch Releases

Just one of several brands owned by the Swatch Group, Longines always makes a point of showing off their newest innovations at every year. For 2019, the Swiss manufacturer bought us several new additions to their popular HydroConquest collection that are beautifully designed for men in need of a high performing sports watch. We were also treated to some stunning new Heritage pieces that take inspiration from past Longines watches and have been combined with contemporary new movements.

Many of the Longines 2019 watch releases are ready to order now and some are expected to be released in the coming months. You can find all the information and specs you need about the new Longines watch releases below.

Longines HydroConquest Black Ceramic 43mm Watch (L3.784.4.56.9)

We love ceramic watches and Longines have finally given us what we have always wanted: an all-black ceramic version of their popular HydroConquest watch! The Longines HydroConquest Black Ceramic 43mm watch follows the same design principles as other pieces in the collection but instead has been crafted from black ceramic including a coloured ceramic insert bezel.

The lightweight and scratch resistant properties of the ceramic are perfectly suited for a sporty and active lifestyle. The matching matte black dial, satin bezel and black rubber strap also further accentuate the masculine aesthetic. Longines are renowned for their diving watches and this Longines HydroConquest Black Ceramic 43mm watch is also suited for the waters with a water resistance of 300 metres, a screw in crown, unidirectional bezel and double security folding clasp.

Longines Heritage Military Watch (L2.819.4.93.2)

The Longines Heritage watch collection is a stunning tribute to the pioneering spirit of past timepiece designers and this Longines Heritage Military watch follows suit by commemorating an old pilots watch used by the British Royal Air Force during World War II. In the late 1930’s, watches were traditionally kept simple and easy to use with light coloured dials and large Arabic numerals. The Longines Heritage Military watch honours this tradition with a vintage cream dial, painted Arabic numerals and blue steel hands.

The simplicity of the design continues inside the watch with the classic and highly reliable L619/888 automatic movement powering the hour, minutes and seconds function. The self winding calibre comes in strong with a steady accuracy thanks to the 25’200 vibrations per hour and 64 hours of power reserve. We are really pleased the designers chose not to clutter the dial of this Longines Heritage Military watch with a date function and by doing so, they have done an immaculate job of bringing an old 1930’s watch back to life.

Specifications:

  • Case Size: 38.5mm
  • Case Material: Stainless steel
  • Movement: L619/888 Automatic
  • Functions: Hour, minute, seconds
  • Power Reserve: 64 hours
  • Glass: Sapphire crystal
  • RRP: £1,550

Longines Conquest Mikaela Shiffrin Edition Watch (L3.379.4.98.6)

Alpine Ski Champion, Mikaela Shiffrin, has been a brand ambassador for Longines since 2014 and with their own century long connection to the ski world, Longines made quite the entrance at the beginning of the year with the first Longines Conquest Mikaela Shiffrin Edition watch. During a visit to Longines Saint-Imier headquarters in Switzerland during April last year, Mikaela Shiffrin took full advantage of the occasion to personalize her own watch from the Conquest collection.

The Longines Conquest Mikaela Shiffrin Edition watch has been designed to reflect the sporting character of the alpine skier alongside her own uncompromising feminine styling. The dial of this special edition Longines watch is simply stunning crafted from blue aventurine which glitters just like the snow she champions. The dial is also decorated with hints of red on the chronograph’s flange and hands to bring to life the colours on the American flag, Mikaela Shiffrin’s home country, and the colours found on her famous ski suit.

Specifications:

  • Case Size: 36mm
  • Case Material: Stainless steel
  • Movement: L538.3 quartz
