The prestigious TAG Heuer watch company have announced a new brand ambassador to represent their historic journey in producing expertly engineered Swiss watch creations. David Guetta, universally accredited for influencing the following of global charts audiences in recognising the world of electronic music, joins the TAG Heuer brand in their “Don’t crack under pressure” campaign.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 David Guetta Special Edition masterpiece is dedicated to the world famous DJ who has now sold over 35 million tracks and 9 million albums, by infusing a contemporary design with a stunning blue and black aesthetic. The “Don’t crack under pressure” campaign was developed to signify TAG Heuer’s drive and strength in striving for excellence and pushing boundaries to the limits for over 150 years. The brand mirrors their past triumphs in David Guetta’s equally successful life in transforming the sound of radio, whilst sustaining an incredible social reach. The timepiece reveals a connection between professionalism and travel, encompassing a sophisticated versatility, underpinned with practical functionality – a dynamic explorer’s companion. The black aluminium bezel with a powerful injection of Persian blue emphasising TAG Heuer’s striking selection of breathtaking features such as the daytime hours from 6pm to 6am which are presented in a black hue, revised hour marker appliqués with blue inserts further accentuating the “day/night” metaphor, and blue-filled hands, surrounded in a sturdy black titanium carbide-coated steel case. It could be believed that the new GMT model is linked to Guetta’s proclivity for travel and night time entertainment , offering a second time zone and “day/night” symbol on the GMT function itself. The new TAG Heuer model from the brand’s iconic Formula 1 collection is based on the calibre 7 Twin-Time automatic movement with a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. Echoing the same clubbers colours of blue and black is the robust black cuff strap made from aged calfskin which sits flush with the wrist like the memorable 1970’s wristbands, albeit with a modern kick. 
The TAG Heuer David Guetta Limited Edition is finished with a high-quality tone-on-tone stitching and black ardillon buckle. The TAG Heuer logo sitting nobly underneath the 12th hour marker is a distinctive characteristic true to every TAG thoroughbred watch, each one being expertly pioneered by the watchmakers at their Swiss headquarters. The TAG Heuer new release will be featured, along with the brand as part of Guetta’s summer residency in Ibiza to mark the Heuer and Guetta partnership, inspired by the watch company’s signature culture for boundary-pushing and embracing challenges.
TAG Heuer may have been slow to produce a variety of alternative style straps however, they more than make up for this with the new and playful take on the band which accompanies this special limited edition.
