Almost a year later to the day, Bremont launches its second limited edition watch in partnership with the RFU. The new Bremont S300 RFU 2022 arrives perfectly in time for the 2022 Guinness Six Nations Championship starting this weekend and once again marks Bremont as the Official Timing Partner to both England Rugby and Twickenham Stadium.
The launch of the Bremont RFU 150 Limited Edition watch last year marked the 150th anniversary of the Rugby Football Union and beautifully commemorated both the spirit of the fans and players, and the shares values of durability, precision, and technical ability of both brands involved. It was a hugely popular release and so it is no surprise that the British watch manufacturer is building on its popularity with the launch of a second instalment: the Bremont S300 RFU watch.

Also limited to 150 pieces, the Bremont S300 RFU watch comes in slightly smaller in comparison to its predecessor with a 40 millimetre diameter mimicking the design of the Supermarine Type 300 model. The case is finished in stainless steel and is engineered using Bremont’s Trip-Tick case construction with a scratch resistant DLC case barrel and a unique screw down case back engraved with the England Rugby rose. On top, the case begins its England team kit-inspired colour palette with a navy blue laser engraved ceramic bezel with unidirectional functionality, red accents and a Superluminova marker at 12 o’clock.
The England team’s livery is also represented on the dial of the Bremont S300 RFU 2022 watch which is finished in a bright white, embossed with the England Rose and dressed in matching white applied indexes, white Superluminova coated hour and minute hands and a white date aperture at 3 o’clock. For a stark contrast to the icy centrepiece, the sweeping seconds hand is painted in red and delivers a subtle nod to the Cross of St. George. The dial of the Bremont S300 RFU watch is protected beneath scratch resistant domed sapphire crystal glass assisting in a water rating of 300 metres.
As for the movement powering the hours, minutes, sweeping seconds and date complication, the Bremont S300 RFU 2022 watch presents the BE-92AV modified calibre based on the tried-and-tested ETA 2836-2 automatic winding base. The movement is equipped with a Glucydur balance and an Anachron balance, a Nivaflex mainspring and promises a frequency of 28,800bph. There’s also a 38 hour power reserve and a total of 25 jewels. As with so many of Bremont’s watches, the Bremont S300 RFU watch is also COSC-certified.
