The new SevenFriday T2/02 watch is all about capturing the feeling of nostalgia and that warm fuzzing feeling we all get when we spend time with the ones we love. Whether it be joking by a warm fire, laying on the beach with sand between our toes or merely sipping tipple round the dinner table, this new instrument is all about evoking these same feelings of happiness and belonging.
The stunning warm gold tones and rich organic browns seen on the SevenFriday T2/02 automatically conjure up the welcome smell of aging leather and burning wood, the perfect sentiments for a true gentleman’s watch. The gun metal PVD case it fitted with a gorgeous rose gold Berlac painted bezel which perfectly complements the gradient brown semi-transparent dial, rose gold PVD crown and brown genuine calfskin leather strap.
Similarly to its predecessor, the T2/01, the SevenFriday T2/02 watch has a smaller, thinner and lighter aesthetic than many other SevenFriday models measuring to 45mm in width and 12.95mm in height. The watch also weighs a remarkable 110 grams which is almost 46 grams lighter than some of its brothers and sisters. The case is also beautifully finished using a variety of polished, brushed and sandblasted effects for a truly unique look.
The SevenFriday T2/02 is one of only a handful of SevenFriday watches to feature an automatic skeleton TMI (Seiko) NH70 movement, with so many of its counterparts using a Miyota calibre. The TMI (Seiko) NH70 self-winding movement promises a power reserve of 40 hours and shows off its balance wheel through the dial. In typical SevenFriday style, the dial is completely unique and plays with transparency and gradients by using a genuine piece of sunglass lens beneath the K1 hardened mineral crystal glass. The dial also features white luminous painted on the central hour and minute hands for easy legibility in low lighting.
To complete the golden warm aesthetic of the SevenFriday T2/02 watch, a genuine brown calf skin leather strap is added with a brown lining and tone on tone stitching. Last but certainly not least, the timepiece can be used in connection with the SevenFriday smartphone app thanks to the NFC chip hidden within the case back.
