New Rado Hyperchrome releases for Basel 2015

Rado is undoubtedly one of the most contemporary watch brands to lead the 21st Century. With sleek and cutting edge designs, the brand have achieved success in developing expert time keeping coupled with ground breaking technology through using astounding hard-wearing materials. Last year Rado released a breathtaking new collection that captivated and enthralled dedicated collectors – the HyperChrome range. One quartz version in particular stood out from the crowd, the HyperChrome Ceramic Touch Dual Timer. Using no crown and activated by touch screen, this ultra-quick technology has changed the dynamics of future watchmaking forever by implementing new-found technology with luxury. Rado’s team of highly skilled workers have applied their advanced skills to help steer the development of watchmaking in a revolutionary direction. This challenging transformation has finally paid off as the brand now reap the benefits of international recognition in presenting modern, stylish timepieces with whispers of graceful elegance in each design. For a quartz piece, it delivered a purpose that mechanical watches could not live up to. With six sensors and both sides of the watch functioning as active touch sites, the watch offered a zone time swap feature and was titled the perfect globetrotters travel companion. The HyperChrome collection endeavours to impress an even wider audience this year by delivering three fresh-faced, robust automatic pieces. As with all of Rado’s latest additions, they are manufactured from an extraordinary material. Formed from plasma high-tech rado6ceramic, the watches contain no metal whatsoever. The material process is exclusive to Rado and underpins the epitome of true craftsmanship, making the brand so unique and special to thousands of dedicated global followers. The ladies collections illustrate a clear feminine focus, encompassing delicate bodywork with maximum elegance. Contrastingly the men’s range represent masculinity personified, bearing athletic undertones. Specially treated, the watches are scratch resistant and highly durable, also promising to never fade with time. Basel 2015 is excited to be exhibiting the new models from this special collection – all with their own individual qualities.

rado2Adopting hereditary characteristics from the Rado Watch HyperChrome XXL, a new descendant arrives with accents of rose gold on the indexes and the three centre-mounted hands. The case middle will be rose gold coated, as will the chronograph pushers. Interestingly the date aperture is placed between the hours of four and five. The bezel boasts a beautifully engraved tachymeter scale filled with super-LumiNova to ensure optimal visibility in all lights.

Similar in admirable attributes is the Rado HyperChrome Automatic XL. Standing proudly in its sturdy suite of armour, its striking gunmetal colour exemplifies a glossy appearance, setting off those essential rose gold elements on the dial. A date window sits nobly at 3 o’clock also dressed in a handsome rose gold boarder. The plasma ceramic body is a monobloc (one piece) structure that is hypo-allergenic and sits flush with the wrist ensuring wearer comfort. Rado depicts this as “dangerously desirable” – a hard to resist timepiece.

Finally the show stopper this year is set to launch in the spring. The HyperChrome Automatic Limited Edition is 36 millimetres of pure feminine elegance and splendour. Comprised of just 600 pieces, each watch will encompass a set of 56 diamond pieces within the bezel. This breathtaking creation is a pure investment piece that mirrors subtlety yet magnifies luxury.
