Celebrating a fruitful partnership between the watch brand and Gulf, the V6-44-SA-Gulf model represents the company’s strong historic links with top-line motor sport. The black PVD treated brushed stainless steel case which protects the internal workings of the timepiece, consists of up to 18 different case parts as opposed to the usual 2 or 3 expected in watches produced from close competitors to the brand. BRM have focussed on manufacturing each of the instrument’s components separately so that constituent such as the lugs, strap and crown can be individually screwed into the case, allowing for a range of materials and effects to be employed. The back of the case includes a special number
allocation which has been stamped into the small metal nameplate, acting as a chassis for the watch and strengthening the brand’s relationship with Gulf who took part in the 24 hours Le Mans race this year for the very first time with GT, LMP, and LP1. The new V4-66-SA-Gulf bears an exclusive suspended movement with 3 vertical shock absorbers to protect the timepiece against harsh external factors such as bumps, knocks, falls and vibrations. The 100 meter water resistant shell hosts a stunning matte black dial which comes alive thanks to its powder blue Gulf stripe and sumptuous tangerine orange, perforated hour and minute hands. An elegantly sweeping seconds hand also decorated in orange hue, graces the periphery of the dial, gliding over the striking Gulf logo which emanates below the 12th hour mark and giving perfect balance to the date aperture which rests above the 6 o’clock location. More than 20 tracings accompany the watch dial, each crated to ideal proportions. The ornamented hands and hour indices have been hand applied, as have the assembly screw of the watch, which are built specifically and composed of three holes to meet the requirements of their tailored dimensions. The BRM V6-44-SA-Gulf has been finished on a genuine black leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle and light blue and orange contrast stitching. 12 individualised parts, adding leverage to its precious rarity.
