NOMOS Sport Neomatik Watches (580, 581, 781)

One of the most highly anticipated releases at Baselworld 2019 was the new stainless-steel bracelet from NOMOS. The brand are known for producing the majority of their straps themselves including their famous Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather strap. For 2019, the very first NOMOS bracelet made its grand entrance handcrafted from 145 individual parts including an elegant deployment clasp.

The bracelets give each of the NOMOS Tangente and NOMOS Club watches an entirely new look that is a beautiful mix between sporty and sophisticated. To pair with the sporty aesthetic, these watches are also engineered to be water resistant to 1,000ft which is demonstrated at the bottom of the black or silver dials. Each model is also equipped with a date function, subsidiary seconds dial, sapphire crystal glass and the NOMOS DUW 6101 neomatik calibre.

Another new and exciting release from NOMOS at Baselworld 2019 was the NOMOS Glashutte Duo watch collection. Coming in the form of four models: the Tangente, Orion, Ludwig and Tetra, each Duo piece is kept simple with a two-handed design that then comes with a choice of either a closed stainless steel case back or a sapphire crystal exhibition back.

Each NOMOS Duo watch exudes a simplicity that fans of contemporary watches will fall in love with. Perfect for those with smaller sized wrists, these watches measure to only 33mm in size with the Tetra model coming in slightly smaller with a side length of 27mm. The gorgeous rose gold hands add an extra dimension to the white silver plated dial alongside the mocha-brown typography. NOMOS Tangente Neomatik 41 Update Watches (180, 181)

NOMOS Glashutte are no strangers to creating in-house movements and for Baselworld 2019 they showed off a redesigned version of their DUW 6101 neomatik movement. The two new NOMOS Tangente Neomatik 41 Update watches follow suit to the rest of the Tangente collection but now with the inclusion of a date ring.

The new NOMOS neomatik date calibre has been redesigned to fit this exceptional date function for those that need to stay alert of their busy calendar. The movement really shows off NOMOS’ ability to create exceptional movements that are thin, accurate and richly decorated. A movement like this would usually take up a lot of room inside a watch, making it much thicker on the wrist. Instead, NOMOS have taken advantage of their slender NOMOS swing system to power the proprietary escapement to keep the movement only 3.6mm tall. The NOMOS Tangente Neomatik 41 Update watches come in two styles: one with a white silver plated dial and another with a dark ruthenium dial.

Specifications:

  • Case Size: 40.5mm
  • Case Material: Stainless steel
  • Movement: DUW 6101 automatic
  • Functions: Hour, minute, subsidiary seconds, outer date ring
  • Power Reserve: 42 hours
  • Glass: Sapphire crystal
  • RRP: £3,200

NOMOS Club Campus Neomatik Watches (748, 765, 767)

Previously, NOMOS released the Club Campus series with their famous Alpha.2 manual winding movement but for 2019, they have treated us to a brand new trio of NOMOS Club Campus Neomatik watches with an automatic winding calibre. The entire collection is designed to celebrate the milestones one goes through at university whether that be passing an exam, graduating or landing that first job.

We love the idea of having a set of luxury watches designed especially for celebrating our youth and the scholar inspired designs of each NOMOS Club Campus Neomatik watch is perfect for any male or female finishing university. Each Club Campus model also comes with a smooth steel case back leaving plenty of room for a personalised engraving to commemorate the celebration. Keeping the stainless steel cases slender, the DUW 3001 automatic calibre is used to power the hour, minute and subsidiary seconds functions.
