Seiko have already claimed 2019 as their year with the release of their new Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean watch collection. Not only does this stunning range promote the conservation of our oceans but we are treated to the stunning special edition design in the form of all our favourite Seiko models including the Turtle, Solar Chronograph and Samurai.
The Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean watches have been designed in collaboration with ocean explorer and marine conservationist Fabien Cousteau, the grandson of famous underwater explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Fabien Cousteau has devoted his life to exploring our oceans and is focused on creating awareness and education in order to protect and preserve them. The Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Centre was created just for this purpose and a portion of the proceeds from each of the Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean watches will be going straight to this wonderful organisation.
There are seven Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean watches in total, three Turtle, two Samurai and two Solar chronographs. Each model comes with either a stainless steel or black PVD coated case while the Turtle comes with an additional variation available on a black PVD coated bracelet.
