Italo Fontano, the Italian watchmakers that produce the very popular U-Boat watches have just released the latest from the Classico series: the U-Boat Classico AB4-2.
An automatic mechanical movement that is unique to the U-Boat watches has been rebuilt inside out so that the crown can be placed to the left of the watch, at the 9 o’clock position. This is an ingenious feature that has been introduced for enhanced comfort, which is achieved because the repositioning opens up the wearer’s wrists movements. The crown also has an unique protective device, trade marked to the U-Boat watches.
The Classico AB4-2 has a special carbon fibre dial on which elevated arabic numerals 12, 8 and 4 have been placed. These numerals are made luminous with superluminova.
Enclosing the dial and face is a high quality sapphire, scratch proof crystal.
The stainless steel case has an IP black coating that guarantees maximum durability guarding against wear and scratch. The black hypo-allergenic strap is made of in stitched silicon, and comes with a pin buckle.
A great visual finishing touch to the design of this new generation U-Boat is the ruby inset at 6 o’clock.
