Bremont Supermarine Waterman Watch Review

Designed to celebrate life on and under the water, Bremont have surprised us all with the unexpected release of their new Bremont Supermarine Waterman watch. This striking, remarkably technical divers model has been designed in collaboration with Mark Healey, a free diver, big-wave surfer and ocean environmentalist.

It feels like Bremont could not have chosen a better ambassador to help promote the release of the new Bremont Supermarine Waterman watch. Mark Healy appears to be the ultimate ‘waterman’ himself with an intense love for the ocean, an uncompromising approach to the equipment he uses and a passion and understanding for the fragility of the environment he dives in. With this in mind, it was decided that a percentage of proceeds from the Bremont Supermarine Waterman sales would go towards the Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii charity, an organisation that is working to reduce the largest ocean garbage patch between Hawaii and California.

Limited to only 300 pieces, the 43mm Bremont Supermarine Waterman watch has been designed beautifully to reflect the beauty and power of our oceans. It incorporates a fantastic GMT hand on a deep ocean-blue metal dial with bold Superluminova coated hands and applied indexes that remain effortlessly legible even when you’re diving into the darkest parts of the ocean.

Tested by Mark Healy himself, the sapphire crystal back technology has been chosen by several military units and explorers across the world. It’s 500 metre water resistance makes the Bremont Supermarine Waterman watch a no brainer for a trained diver while it’s helium release valve, anti-shock vibration mount and scratch resistant sapphire uni-directional bezel means it can withstand any conditions the ocean throws at it.

The COSC certified BE-93-2AE automatic movement has been put on display through the stunning integrated flat crystal case back alongside a gorgeous Bremont moulded and skeletonised rotor. The chronometer tested calibre also provides hour, minute and seconds function, a smart date window at 3 o clock, a 24 hour GMT hand and an impressive power reserve of 42 hours.

The Bremont Supermarine Waterman watch is available to order now on two strap options: a blue Temple Island rubber strap or a classic stainless steel bracelet with both models gifting an additional blue Kevlar and red stitch strap.
