Breitling Superocean 44 Outerknown and ECONYL NATO watch straps
Released alongside brand ambassador and Surfers Squad member Kelly Slater, Breitling have released a brand new Breitling Superocean Outerknown watch. This timepiece builds on the brand’s partnership with the sustainable clothing brand Outerknown and features a 44mm stainless steel case fitted with a unidirectional ratcheted bezel and a stunning ocean green dial decorated with central hour, minute and seconds hands with numerals and indexes coated in Superluminova.
Alongside the release of the Breitling Superocean 44 Outerknown watch are 18 new ecologically responsible straps designs to provide a sporty and dressed up finish to any Breitling watch. The NATO straps are crafted from ECONYL yarn, a material created from regenerated nylon waste with one of its sources coming from fishing nets found within our world’s oceans. The straps are available in a huge range of colours including blue with dark blue stripes, light blue with dark blue stripes, yellow with orange stripes, grey with black stripes, red with black stripes and many more.
Breitling Aviator 8 Mosquito Watch
The Breitling Aviator 8 watch collection was only recently released at the beginning of this year, and already we are treated to a new special edition Breitling Aviator 8 Mosquito watch. This new design has been inspired by the onboard clocks engineered by the Huit Aviation Department in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Under the reference 765 AVI, the highly legible onboard clock was known as the Co-Pilot and the new Aviator 8 Mosquito honors this clock alongside the de Havilland Mosquito plane, an aircraft made almost entirely out of wood.
The Havilland Mosquito plane was renowned for its speed and maneuverability which found success in its many roles as an unarmed light bomber, day fighter, night fighter and photographic reconnaissance aircraft. The new Breitling Aviator 8 Mosquito watch beautifully takes design influences from the onboard instruments with its bold dial, rotating bezel and impressive legibility while also perfectly tributing one of the world’s most exceptional and fastest planes to fly the skies in the 1940s.
New Breitling Avenger Watch Collection
The famous Breitling Avenger watch collection is back, a collection that has become synonymous with the brand’s ‘Air’ universe since its first release in 2001. The range of aviation watches has been redesigned to mark the growing evolution of their pilot instruments designed especially for aerial adventures who want to achieve nothing but extraordinary. Breitling describes the collection as being the perfect companion for drone specialists mastering the skies from the ground to pilots in the cockpit of a supersonic jet to aviation pioneers challenging the limits of our skies.
There is no shortage of new Breitling Avenger watches to choose from with the Breitling Super Avenger Chronograph 48 and Chronograph 48 Night Mission watches making an entrance with their 48mm statement stainless steel cases and bold black dials. We also welcome the Breitling Avenger Chronograph 45 and Chronograph 45 Night Mission measuring to 45mm available with a blue or black dial.
