Film premieres in Hollywood bring together the great and glamour, and the premiere for ‘An Education’, a Sony Pictures Classics film, on 5 October 2025 was no different. Parmigiani Fleurier, a leading luxury Swiss watchmaker, along with Esquire Magazine, hosted the event to demonstrate their ongoing support for the independent film industry.

Today Parmigiani Fleurier, founded in 1996 by the Sandoz Family and designer Michel Parmigiani, has a reputation worldwide as a master producer of fine, handcrafted timepieces.

Parmigiani Fleurier’s vision and commitment to producing innovative and bespoke timepieces is followed through in their active support of the arts and entertainment community. Over the last three years Parmigiani has continuously supported Sony Pictures Classics’s releases including ‘Rachel Getting Married’, which starred Anne Hathaway and Debra Winger, ‘Friends With Money’ and ‘Jane Austen Book Club’. The watchmaker also collaborated with Sony Pictures Classics on the rock and roll documentary ‘It Might Get Loud’ (June 2009).

Of their latest association with the film company, Michelle Veyna, President of Parmigiani Fleurier’s North American division, said, “We take pride in our continued partnership with Sony Pictures Classics. … This film is a perfect example of the type of fine quality films we admire.”

‘An Education’, written by Nick Hornby and directed by Lone Sherfig, is a coming of age story set in 1960s suburban London, and stars Carey Mulligan, Peter Saarsgard, Emma Thompson and Alfred Molina.
