Bremont and the Royal Marines Commando

Bremont watches are a firm favourite among luxury watch enthusiasts, but did you know that they are also worn by the military?

The British watch brand has worked closely with a number of military squadrons from all over the world to produce exclusive mechanical chronometers that perfectly meet their needs. These bespoke Bremont watches are designed to closely mirror each squadron’s DNA, with the brand’s long list of exciting military projects including a special watch for the Royal Navy Submarine Service, and a limited edition diver’s watch specially designed for the Royal Marines Commando. Bremont’s military watches are only available to serving and retired military veterans, making them highly collectable pieces and very precious to those that own one.

Showing their support for the military in other ways, Bremont recently donated its Royal Marines Commando S500 watch to an auction, in order to raise money for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. This special watch is limited to just 350 pieces and was designed to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the Royal Marines, celebrated on October 28th 2014.

Bremont and the Royal Marines Commando

Only available to serving and retired Royal Marines, the watch is based on the Bremont Supermarine S500 with bespoke details. The Corps colours appear at 6 o’clock on the dial, and the Corps’ crest and Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife are engraved on the case back. The case back also features a hand-engraving of each recipient’s individual service number.

Bremont donated the limited edition number #350 of this extremely special watch to an auction on the Royal Marines’ anniversary. All proceeds from the auction were donated to the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, a charity dedicated to providing a better quality of life to serving and retired Royal Marines and their families.
