Jaeger-Lecoultre Watches Win Again

jaeger lecoultre watches 189x300 Jaeger Lecoultre Watches Win AgainCreated in 2009, the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon à Quantième Perpétuel has just been awarded First Prize in the ‘High Complications’ category, as voted for by a panel of horological experts at the Munichtime ’09 Exposition. In so doing, this fine watch continues a tradition of award winning Jaeger-Lecoultre watches.

Typical of the Jaeger-Lecoultre tradition, this exceptional model has a double-complication movement. The technical aspects of the automatic calibre, such as the titanium tourbillon carriage, the high-inertia and high-frequency balance, as well as the oscillating weight that has been mounted on ceramic ball-bearings, all work to enable the timepiece to achieve outstanding levels of performance.

The model illustrated to the left has an 18-carat pink gold case, but it is also available in platinum, and there is a limited series of 300 in 18-carat yellow gold. This watch is entirely decorated by hand, a testament to the mastery of rare crafts we have come to expect from La Grande Maison of Jaeger-Lecoultre.

Besides the awards in four different categories chosen by experts, there are also the awards voted for by the public. The results of the public vote will be announced at a gala event in Vienna at the beginning of December. It was this award, as voted for by the public, that Jaeger-Lecoultre watches won in 2008.
